Weight Management Lifestyle Program - The Formentor App by Gillvray Health

Nearly 2/3 of adults in the UK are living with overweight or obesity and this is associated with an increased risk of most health problems, an increase in mortality rates and a decrease in quality of life. At Gillvray Health we know that weight loss is not just about eating less and doing more. This comprehensive package put together by Dr Claire and Lucy includes an exercise programme, nutrition tracking and advice, weight tracking, psychological and habit support, and Lucy's breathwork course all delivered conveniently through our app-based service - THE FORMENTOR APP by GILLVRAY HEALTH. This is not a diet plan, but a supportive space were we work collaboratively with you, your interests and life to help you take sustainable steps towards a healthier fututre. Regular check ins and the ability to message 7 days a week through a text messaging system direct to Dr Claire and Lucy will further enhance your journey. This program has been created to be used alongside prescriptions of Wegovy or Mounjaro weight loss injections which you can access through https://www.cambridgeprivatedoctors.co.uk/

It can however be used independently and may supplement one to one sessions with Dr Claire or Lucy.

The Lifestyle Clinic

Lifestyle medicine is all about using behaviours we can all access, to help us prevent and treat mental and physical illness. The statistics around what we can do with our lifestyle far outweigh those of any medication without the issue of side effects or adverse reactions. In a 1 hour session Dr Claire will take you through the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine - nutrition, physical activity, sleep, connection, stress management and perpetuating negative behaviours. She will help you come up with a plan that is sustainable and personal to you. Have this as a one off / stand alone session or choose to have your plan presented on our Formentor app for that added accountability. For added information bring along recent blood test results, height, weight and blood pressure or choose to have blood tests completed either in our clinic or by yourself at home (additional costs apply). 

£290 for a one hour Lifestyle Medicine appointment with Dr Claire with individual plan.


The Sleep Clinic

CBT for Insomnia is the first line treatment advised by NICE for insomnia because it works. With over 80% success rates it is better than medication and will teach you skills you can use over again. Book into the clinic and have 3 x 30 minute sessions with Dr Claire at fortnightly intervals. The first session she will check that the programme is appropriate for you and give you all the information you need to get started. The second session is used to look at your personal sleep cycle and to build a strategy for change and the third is a check in to see how you are progressing and to set up a plan going forward. You will be given homework to complete between appointments. An added treat will include a session with Lucy Hibben to be shown some down regulating breath techniques to supplement the knowledge you will be given. (All sessions delivered virtually)

£400 for 3 x 30 minute sessions with Dr Claire and 1 x 30 minute session with Lucy.


Signature Therapy Session

For some people sitting in a room and talking is very difficult. Through my 25 years of experience as a doctor and following the research on health both physical and psychological it made sense to set up a moving clinic. The benefits of moving and talking are multifold. Being side by side rather than facing each other can make the session less intense and allow many people to share their thoughts more easily. Being outdoors brings benefits of vitamin D, lowering of your blood pressure, improvements in anxiety symptoms and depression, improvements in immune function. Moving brings benefits for our mental and physical health. We walk at a pace that suits you. Some people like to run. We often see much quicker psychological improvement in these sessions than in more formal therapy settings. This can be helpful for those with neurodiversity and young people who again may struggle with the intensity of a more formal therapy session.

Access to Lucy's online library of content of yoga, breathwork and meditation sessions is included.
